This international risk consulting services provider is looking to recruit an Actuarial Analyst to join their European practice based in Luxembourg.

The company provides highly advanced and specialised advice to their clients in the areas of financial and actuarial analytics, risk retention structuring and funding and enterprise risk management. The Actuarial and Analytical consulting services offered by the European practice cover a wide spectrum from loss reserving, risk quantification, premium rating and modelling corporate risk tolerance to DFA analysis and capital adequacy certification.

As an Actuarial Analyst you would be expected to support the Senior Actuarial Consultants in delivering strategic advice and analytical solutions to our client portfolio through data research and quantitative risk modelling. You will provide technical support and use actuarial judgement to derive adequate levels of technical reserves and assess the current year loss ratios for relevant lines of business. In conjunction with stakeholders, you will estimate current and future year’s loss ratio. In this well paid Luxembourg insurance job you will support the assessment of product profitability and the performance of the relevant lines of business. Finally you will use your actuarial skills and judgement to support and challenge the strategy in respect of the relevant lines of business to add value and ensure decisions are soundly based.

For serious consideration for the Actuarial Analyst vacancy you should have an excellent academic record in a quantitative field, preferably actuarial science or statistics. Preference will be given to candidates with a first experience in non life insurance and / or in consulting. Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills are important, as well as some understanding of risk management and insurance. Fluency in English is a must with at least one other European language (French/German/Spanish/Dutch), as the position involves contact with international clients and extensive liaison between groups operations in Europe (Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Nordic, France and the Netherlands).
