Compliance Officer (Private Banking) - Luxembourg Job - Banking

This well established wealth management practice wants to recruit an experienced Compliance Officer for its Luxembourg private banking division.

The Compliance Officer (Private Banking) has a range of responsibilities all geared to the ultimate aim of helping preserve the Private Banking arm reputation.

To achieve this you will be asked to ensure compliance with business regulations, regulatory requirements and to implement risk processes to reduce exposure to money laundering, terrorist financing, as well as market abuse. In this Luxembourg banking job all of these must be successfully completed, whilst guaranteeing full respect for the confidentiality of client interests and market integrity.

Should you be successful in your application for the Compliance Officer (Private Banking) job you can expect to undertake compliance, participate in the drafting and implementation of compliance procedures.

You can also expect to participate in reporting and risk assessment of all compliance functions. Another facet of the Compliance Officer (Private Banking) role is the monitoring plan controls and its implementation (control transactional behaviour, control flows related to embargoes, terrorist lists, etc.)

You will also contribute towards the banks overall performance against specific controls, particularly those related to the regulation MiFID and transaction behaviour accounts.

Finally you will flag any abuse of market regulations within the private banking department and assist your colleagues with ensuring the private banking team (especially the Relationship Managers) is fully aware of all matters relating to compliance.

For consideration for the Compliance Officer (Private Banking) vacancy you must hold a numerate degree and have at least three years experience in a senior compliance role.

It is expected you will also have some experience of supervisory management and be able to demonstrate a knowledge of markets and financial products. Finally you have to be fluent in both English and French.
