Group Risk Manager - Luxembourg Job - Insurance

This Luxembourg head quartered international insurance manager is looking to recruit a Group Risk Manager to join its Corporate Policy and Risk Department.

The Group Risk Manager is part of the team that ensures the firm’s operations are enacted in accordance with its risk, compliance, legal and corporate policies to both Luxembourg and international standards. Within the teams overall remit the Group Risk Manager is tasked with localizing the Group risk policies for the various pan European business units and maintaining these at the required standard. They also control the escalation process for risk issues and all reporting on risk and compliance subjects. Indeed the Group Risk Manager takes overall responsibility for ensuring all senior management have all the risk information and data they need at all times. The holder of this well paid Luxembourg risk job is the secretary of the risk committee and is also charged with co-ordinating any risk related training any staff require. Finally the Group Risk Manager has a major input in all communication both internal and external around risk related matters.

The successful applicant for this well paid Luxembourg job in insurance will be a graduate with at least six years Risk & governance experience; gained in the insurance industry. They will combine first rate leadership skills with the ability to condense and communicate complex risk concepts at all levels. They will be fluent in English and a another European language. Finally they will be first rate report writers and be able to turn abstract risk / compliance requirements into real world business processes.
