Manager of Fund Compliance and Risk - Luxembourg Job - Fund

A this global banking and financial services organisation wants to recruit a Manager, Fund Compliance & Risk for handle an surge in business from its Luxembourg operation.

The Manager of Fund Compliance & Risk is part of the senior executive team of the securities services department. This department provides comprehensive global, regional and domestic fund services including fund administration, global custody, corporate trust and loan agency, as well as sub-custody settlement and services to the international asset management industry.

Reporting to the Head of Fund Administration, you will manage the day to day operations of the investment restriction monitoring team for Traditional UCITS funds and Alternative funds.

In addition, you will be responsible for co-ordinating both the Luxembourg Fund Pricing and Fund Risk & Compliance Committees, and providing investment compliance training to Fund Administration staff.

In this Luxembourg job you will implement an automated investment restriction compliance monitoring system, as well as coordinate Operational Risk, Internal and External Audit activities across the different functional areas of the Fund Administration Department.

Lastly, you will act as a point of escalation for clients, Client Account Managers and Relationship Managers regarding investment restriction and regulatory compliance issues.

To be considered for the Manager of Fund Compliance & Risk position you will hold a business related degree or equivalent professional qualification. This Luxembourg fund job also requires a minimum of 10 years relevant experience with significant exposure to investment restriction monitoring and general risk, compliance, and regulatory activities associated with the provision of fund administration services.

If you posses in-depth understanding of the Luxembourg fund industry regulatory environment, ideally with significant exposure to both traditional UCITS and alternative fund structures – that would be beneficial.

As well any exposure to the regulatory environments in other jurisdictions e.g. Bermuda, Cayman, Jersey, Guernsey and B.V.I. will be benefical.

Finally in this well paid Luxembourg job fluent English is essential and of course knowledge of other European languages would be a definite advantage.
